A pure double-distilled plum spirit produced in the Zetea Workshops in Medieșu Aurit, Sătmar County. Bottled at cask strength — 50% alcohol by volume — from ripe Transylvanian plums, without additives, colouring, or sweeteners.
Over several generations, the Zetea family has produced natural fruit spirits in traditional still-fire boilers, continuously refining the method while preserving its character. Pălincă is Transylvania at cask strength: honest, aromatic, and made to be shared slowly.

The Making of Pălincă
From orchard fruit to cask-strength spirit.
I
Ripe Transylvanian plums
Only fully ripened fruit enters the Zetea Workshops. Sugar and aroma are built in the orchard — nothing is added at the still.
II
Traditional still-fire boilers
Slow, direct-flame distillation in copper pot stills. Fire and time do the work — no continuous columns, no shortcuts.
III
Double distillation to 50%
A precise second pass concentrates the plum's soul. The heart of the run is cut narrowly and bottled at cask strength.
Character
Pure plum, unmasked.
On the nose: fresh Transylvanian plum, orchard blossom, and the faint smoke of the still-fire. On the palate: dense fruit, warm stone, and a long, dry finish that carries the full 50% without heat.

Serving Ritual
How to drink a Transylvanian pălincă.
- 01.Serve at 14–16 °C in a tulip-shaped snifter. Cold dulls the aromatics; too warm burns them off.
- 02.Rest the glass in the palm for a minute. Do not swirl.
- 03.Small sips. Between friends. Never rushed.
